Objective
Dimensional instability of fabric will affect the appearance, wearability, drape, and other aesthetic qualities of textile products, thus decreasing their value. Meanwhile the difference of shrinkage rate will increase the difficulty in apparel production such as sewing. Facing the poor test results and headache business disputes due to dimensional instability, why not eliminate defects in the earlier stages of the production process? This course will focus on the mechanism analysis of fabric shrinkage in fiber, yarn, and fabric as well as the finishing process. Manufacturers can make use of this knowledge based on their own products and production processes to set down their own raw material sourcing, processes improving and controlling to eliminate the fabric dimensional instability. This course is suitable for technicians, R&D staff, fabric sourcing and testing staff.
